ICC Academy receives Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Award

Singapore, 13 September: The ICC Academy, the educational arm of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), has won the Brandon Hall Group HCM Bronze Excellence Award 2021.

Along with its technology partner Kineo, the ICC Academy is honoured under the “Best Advance in Business Strategy” category for its robust e-commerce powered Learning Management System (LMS) platform, designed for B2B and B2C clients to meet their 21st century learning needs.

Commenting on the award, ICC Secretary General John W.H. Denton AO said: “We are honoured to receive this recognition for ICC’s commitment to global excellence and capacity building for the international business community This award is a testament to our efforts to advance our mission to make business work for everyone, everywhere through providing readily accessible ICC Academy professional development opportunities for all.”

As the institutional representative of 45 million companies from all over the world, ICC offers industry-validated training that can be taken by anyone, anywhere, anytime. Programmes are centred around three areas of focus: trade finance, international business, and regulation and compliance.

The ICC Academy’s alumni community spans over 170 countries with representation from top-level banks, such as the Asian Development Bank and Islamic Trade Finance Corporation; renowned universities, such as Singapore Management University and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Commercial Sub Council; leading corporations, such as Saudi Exports and DB Schenker; and intergovernmental organisations including the World Trade Organisation.

The global health crisis changed people’s learning habits and preferences. At the same time, it has created a ripple effect, where businesses were also experiencing rising demand for more efficient ways of learning and development. To cater to the evolving needs of professionals worldwide, the ICC Academy and Kineo collaborated to create a one- of-a-kind LMS platform. Taking into consideration customer feedback, the ICC Academy’s award winning LMS is today more personalised than ever. With its user-friendly interface and a range of features designed to augment e-Learning experiences, including allowing candidates to pursue a complete certification pathway or simply select ad-hoc courses of a specific programme, the platform enables business to drive growth through individualised learning.

Commenting on the platform changes, Kineo Global Product Manager of Enterprise LMS Russell Grocott said: In today’s digital era, online learning and LMS systems hold equal importance. Companies from different industry verticals are shifting towards technology-aided and innovative e-Learning solutions. More than ever before, choosing an efficient e-Learning system with an intuitive user interface and user experience (UX) has become crucial. Today’s tech-savvy learners use e-Learning systems to access training courses tailored to their needs. The LMS UX has a significant impact on their engagement, knowledge retention and overall learning experience.

“The ICC Academy was looking for a technology partner that could provide them with a two-fold solution: a flexible and customisable platform to accommodate their backend needs such as automation process for registration, enrolment and record management, flexibility on structural changes for new partnerships and innovative new products. On the other hand, and more importantly, they were looking to create a platform that could provide a seamless, engaging and customisable user experience – starting from the customer making a purchase on the catalogue to receiving their programme completion certificate. We are delighted to have come up with an award-winning Totara solution and are looking forward to working closely with the ICC Academy to support the platform’s ongoing growth in the future.”
