ICC Academy announces new fee structure for its trade finance certifications

Singapore, 2 November: The educational arm of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the ICC Academy, today announced a new fee structure for its flagship professional trade finance certificate programmes.

The price for the introductory-level Global Trade Certificate (GTC) programme is US$1,099 (reduced from US$1,499). This includes access to nine e-courses: six core (Trade Finance, Documentary Credits, Documentary Collections, Guarantees, Receivables Finance, Distributor Finance) and three electives to choose from within the following eight courses: Compliance, Supply Chain Finance, Cross Border Trade, Risk Distribution, Capital and Pricing, Trade Finance Sales, Standby Letters of Credit and Fraud and Reputation Risk, in addition to a one-time attempt at the live, proctored final examination.

Other features include 30 hours of interactive learning with six pre-assessment games, four video lectures, 150 narrated animations, 100 assessment questions to a range of topics and case studies to help apply knowledge to the real-world.

The price for the advanced-level Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) programme is US$1,499 (reduced from US$1,799). This includes access to nine online courses: five core (Advanced Working Capital for Trade, Advanced Documentary Credits, Advanced Guarantees, Export Finance, Advanced Supply Chain Finance) and four electives to choose from within the following six courses: Digital Trade Finance and Fintechs, Advanced Standby Letters of Credit, Managing Trade Sales, Managing Trade Products, Managing Trade Operations and Advanced Commodity Finance, along with a one-time attempt at the live, proctored final examination.

Additional features include 50 hours of interactive learning with five pre-assessment games, 200 assessment questions to a range of topics and case studies.

Commenting on the new pricing structure, ICC Academy General Manager Daniel Kok said, “The 2020 ICC Global Survey on Trade Finance suggests that, despite the impact of COVID-19 on the global economy, financial institutions continue to be optimistic about the long-term future of trade finance. Financial institutions continue to offer new products, expand geographically and increase their digital offerings to attract new clients.”

In line with our core objectives to develop knowledge and progress professional capabilities among trade finance professionals, we are pleased to announce the revised fee and programme structure for our flagship professional trade finance programmes. The industry validated programmes will empower practitioners to improve their skills while staying up to date with the latest policies and practices in the COVID-19 landscapeadded Mr Kok.

Following a recent ICC Academy Alumni Survey, 92% of respondents said they would recommend the Global Trade Certificate (GTC) to a colleague. Equally, 100% of CTFP graduates said the programme helped them bridge the knowledge gap, while 91% said they would recommend the programme to their colleagues. The GTC and CTFP programmes are internationally accredited by the London Institute of Banking and Finance, the Institute of Banking and Finance in Singapore and the Indian Banks’ Association.

Launch of new catalogue and Learning Management System (LMS)

The ICC Academy has also unveiled a new edition of its catalogue and Learning Management System (LMS) for all its certificate programmes in trade finance, international business and regulation and compliance. These enhancements reinforce ICC Academy’s commitment to providing best-in-class online learning to professionals and organizations globally.

The upgraded LMS will offer a centralised account for a seamless learning experience: a single platform to launch the course, preview candidates progress and download the completion certificate, following completion of the final examination.

Users can expect a streamlined experience with intuitive navigation and enhanced features all within a single account for all their learning needs.
