Singapore, 8 June: Slated for 16 July 2018, the educational arm of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the ICC Academy, is set to release an enhanced version of its flagship trade finance programme for corporates, banks and other financial institutions, the Global Trade Certificate (GTC).
The programme, which has candidates from more than 100 countries, is aimed at front and middle office professionals wanting to build an understanding of the nuts and bolts of global trade finance.
The enhanced 2018 version continue to comprise 14 e-courses. It aims to provide improved user experience alongside necessary visuals and content updates to align with a rapidly evolving trade finance industry. In addition, the programmes have been fully optimised for tablet and mobile use with an integrated course glossary, quiz-review dashboard, achievement and point system, as well as a search function within the lessons.
The key features of the GTC include:
- 14 online e-courses
- 150 animated videos with narration
- 250 assessment questions on top of the final 60-minute proctored exam
- 8 hours of new video lectures

Commenting on the programme’s expansion from its early days, ICC Academy General Manager Daniel Kok said: “To celebrate the success of our flagship product and to align ourselves with a rapidly evolving trade finance industry, the ICC Academy will release an updated version of the GTC with enhanced features next month. The GTC will remain available at the same price—US$1499 for full certification and US$150 for each individual e-course. Existing candidates already enlisted in the programme will automatically be provided with an upgrade, free of charge, directly within the learning management platform.
